Happy New Year! Here's What's Coming Up On Immigration In 2020

Happy New Year! Thank you for all of your support and feedback this year. Your calls, emails and faxes to lawmakers are making a difference. Here is what to watch for in the first part of 2020.

The Farm Workforce Modernization Act passed the House as expected and is now headed to the Senate. I am hoping this will be the beginning of more bipartisan efforts to pass sensible immigration legislation.

The Supreme Court is expected to rule on the fate of DACA in the first half of 2020. Tell our lawmakers to work together and pass a legislative solution to create a method for Dreamers to earn their legal status before the high court is forced to address the issue.

Although media headlines may make it seem nothing is getting done in DC right now, Congress and the president managed to pass two large federal appropriations packages including $1.4 billion for the border wall, without a shutdown.

As Republican Will Hurd (TX-23) said recently at the Texas Summit on Immigration, “When there’s all kinds of other drama going on, it's the exact perfect time to make this happen.”

Keep pressuring Congress to act on immigration reform!

Please continue contacting your lawmakers with our TxSIP message to support sensible immigration policy: ID them and Tax them!

May God bless your New Year, and may He allow us to look forward to positive momentum on sensible immigration legislation in 2020.

God bless you, and may He continue to bless America!
