Today, June 27, in Washington, DC (just a few hours ago), Democrats and Republicans in the US House came together and approved an immigration bill that the Senate passed yesterday. This bill will solve a lot of problems at the border. It will go a long way toward eliminating the traffic jam of asylum cases by hiring more immigration judges.

This is the first time since President Trump has been elected that Democrats and Republicans have come together and passed immigration legislation. It is not a final solution, but it’s proof that Democrats and Republicans can work together.
Please make an effort to thank your lawmakers and urge them to continue to work on a method for undocumented workers to earn legal status that requires them to provide a positive ID, pass a criminal background check, and agree to work only for employers that deduct and match taxes.
May the good Lord continue to move our lawmakers to finish the job.
